Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for selling insurance policies, writing insurance proposals, and using sales techniques to gain and maintain new business clients.
- Identify and solicit sales prospects from various sources provided by agency, by cold calls and phone contacts
- Negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients to obtain coverage for specific risks or claims.
- Review insurance contracts to ensure that coverage meets legal requirements and terms.
- Develop information and recommendations for prospective accounts, present proposals and adhere to agency policies and procedures for writing a new account
- Maintain a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with customers, as well as agency staff, to minimize potential for error and omission claims.
- Accurately process insurance requests for financial institutions in a timely manner
- Effectively manage existing customers.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Insurance Sales experience
- Strong sales aptitude
- Willingness to make prospecting calls and network to develop new business
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Disciplined, well organized, and self-motivated person
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization and follow up skills
- Willingness and ability to travel independently to client and prospect meetings on a regular basis
- Active Insurance License.
