Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for selling insurance policies, writing insurance proposals, and using sales techniques to gain and maintain new business clients.
  • Identify and solicit sales prospects from various sources provided by agency, by cold calls and phone contacts
  • Negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients to obtain coverage for specific risks or claims.
  • Review insurance contracts to ensure that coverage meets legal requirements and terms.
  • Develop information and recommendations for prospective accounts, present proposals and adhere to agency policies and procedures for writing a new account
  • Maintain a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with customers, as well as agency staff, to minimize potential for error and omission claims.
  • Accurately process insurance requests for financial institutions in a timely manner
  • Effectively manage existing customers.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Insurance Sales experience
  • Strong sales aptitude
  • Willingness to make prospecting calls and network to develop new business
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Disciplined, well organized, and self-motivated person
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organization and follow up skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel independently to client and prospect meetings on a regular basis
  • Active Insurance License.
