As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

 

Position Overview:

The Human Resources Generalist will oversee various human resource functions to support the workforce. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various HR functions while also handling in house payroll duties and workers compensation. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and a comprehensive understanding of HR policies and procedures. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required for this role.

 

Responsibilities:

In House Payroll Administration:

  • Process payroll in house accurately and timely.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Address any payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll-related concerns.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
  • Coordinate employee benefits enrollment.
  • Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially.

  Workers' Compensation Management:

  • Oversee the administration of workers' compensation claims from initial report to resolution.
  • Attend depositions.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers, medical providers, and legal counsel to manage claims effectively.
  • Conduct investigations into workplace injuries and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Compliance and Policy Implementation:

  • Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in various states.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct HR audits to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient with Oracle NetSuite preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish - required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience.
  • SHRM certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
