Senior HR Generalist

The Senior HR Generalist will provide generalist support to assigned business units, assist HR with researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization, and provide general administrative support to the human resources department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
HR Generalist:
- Provide HR generalist support to assigned business units in all functional areas within HR
- Participates in weekly meetings with respective business units
- Consults with managers, departmental leadership, and team members, providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Analyzes business unit metrics and develop solutions, programs and policies
- Investigates, manages and resolves complex employee relations issues
- Manages risk by ensuring regulatory compliance
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers and departmental leadership (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity, ensure business continuity, and retain high performers
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Provides guidance on assigned business units workforce planning
- Identifies training needs for business units, investigates and presents options, and implements
- Assists in handling benefits questions, enrollments, and audits
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Assist with the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing candidates, initial interviews, scheduling and travel arrangements, and ongoing candidate communication
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
- Degree from an accredited college or university in human resources preferred
- 3 to 5 years minimum of human resources generalist experience
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), interpersonal skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and analytical/problem-solving skills
- High level of business acumen. Able to work with a high level of professionalism with business leaders
- Ability to manage projects and daily functions with discretion and minimal supervision
- This position requires strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
