Job DescriptionJob Description

Emerson College Supervisor:

This is a split shift 2nd and 3rd. This supervisor will be focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for the students, faculty, staff, and Visitors of the Emerson College. This position involves overseeing and coordinating security operations, managing a team of security personnel, implementing security protocols, and collaborating ECPD to ensure the overall safety and security of the campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of security officers, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Implement and enforce security procedures and protocols to safeguard the campus facilities, assets, and individuals.
  • Conduct routine patrols and monitor security systems to detect and address any security breaches or suspicious activities.
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms promptly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with campus authorities, law enforcement agencies, and emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and personnel performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of security equipment, such as CCTV cameras,

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement, with a minimum of 1 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a security team and interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ability to remain calm, decisive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in using security equipment and technologies, such as CCTV systems and access control systems.
  • Certification in security management, CPR/First Aid, or relevant fields is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement, with a minimum of 1 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a security team and interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant laws and regulations.
