Summary of Duties

Reporting to the Sr. VP of Human Resources, The Sr. Employee Relations Business Partner is responsible for managing employee relations activity throughout the organization. This is an individual contributor position that will ensure the effective development, training, communication and implementation of policies and processes. The ER Business Partner will manage the investigation of team member concerns and coach leaders through employee relations issues while providing a plan for developing both immediate resolutions and long-term prevention plans. This position will serve as the first point of contact for guidance on leave management, employee concerns, hotline investigations and performance management concerns. Responsible for identifying opportunities for management development, analyzing trends and identifying opportunities to improve retention and serve as a key HR partner for guidance to the field operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as the key point of contact for people managers in areas of employee relations and compliance concerns.
  • Manages thorough internal workplace investigations related to employment policies and federal and state regulations
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues through investigation, documentation and resolution
  • Provide guidance to leaders on performance management and development.
  • Resolves employee relations issues through coaching leaders and consulting with team members and leaders on policies, employment issues, and workplace challenges
  • Contributes to the development, analysis, and coordination of ER initiatives that encourage employee retention and that support a professional and respectful culture
  • Analyzes employee relations trends and identify training opportunities for leaders.
  • Reviews internal processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Builds partnerships with leaders throughout the organization to influence positive company culture.
  • Stay current on state and federal laws and regulations in all facets of human resources
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5 -8 years of progressive HR experience as a generalist or employee relations focus
  • Ability to effectively resolve problems or issues with strong knowledge and understanding of federal and state employment laws.
  • Ability to research, analyze, resolve complex relations issues timely.
  • Must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast past, rapidly growing environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • This position can be remote in any area of the United States
