Key Responsibilities:
· Delivers comprehensive human resource solutions to designated teams, encompassing recruitment, employee engagement, talent development, compensation and benefits management, workforce strategy, recognition programs, and performance evaluation. Collaborates closely with leadership to identify and address workforce needs, showcasing the ability to devise effective strategies and action plans.
· Serves as a primary consultant for managers on human resource matters. Provides expert guidance on organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and succession strategies. Demonstrates a keen understanding of the specific requirements of assigned departments, fostering a collaborative relationship with leadership. Reviews and recommends updates to job descriptions as necessary and participates in departmental meetings as required.
· Offers support to employees regarding human resource-related inquiries. Advises on benefits, policies, and procedures, assisting in the resolution of issues before they escalate. Reviews employee grievances and ensures timely and accurate documentation of concerns. Facilitates resolutions to employee issues and escalates to management when necessary. Conducts departmental and individual focus surveys as applicable, seeking opportunities to engage with business leaders and employees in neutral settings to strengthen relationships.
· Conducts applicant screenings and interviews to recommend top candidates to management based on qualifications, experience, and assessments. Plans and implements recruitment strategies to enhance the applicant pool. Collaborates with department leadership to create strategic action plans, identifying and attracting a diverse range of candidates aligned with organizational goals, while advising and coaching leaders as needed. Establishes and nurtures positive relationships with external resources to bolster recruitment efforts.
· Actively participates in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
· Manages and processes administrative tasks related to recruitment, including transfers, changes in employment status, and onboarding activities. Verifies new hire eligibility for required licenses and educational qualifications. Conducts audits and follow-ups on mandatory training and expired certifications.
· Utilizes investigative tools to conduct thorough inquiries into complaints or allegations, preparing accurate documentation and recommending appropriate actions. Provides coaching and mentorship to leadership to enhance performance management practices. Demonstrates a solid understanding of company policies and relevant legal considerations.
· Represents the organization at unemployment hearings, maintaining a strong track record in contested cases. Participates in EEOC hearings and coordinates information with internal and external legal counsel, demonstrating an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of claims to effectively protect the organization's interests.
· Contributes to and completes special projects as assigned, maintaining an active role in the Human Resource community within the market area. Engages other HR staff and external partners as appropriate.
· Performs additional duties and projects as required, based on organizational needs and individual skill sets.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources.
- Preferred: Master's degree.
- Preferred: Experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
