Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to assist Highmark Credit Union in living out our Mission, “To educate and inspire our Highmark family so that all can achieve success.”  This is done by providing outstanding service to both internal and external members.

In addition, this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of member service and clerical duties related to new accounts, consumer loan activities, lien perfections and supplemental products and services. Funds new loans, processes reports, records and tracks liens, and maintains records and files. Performs other miscellaneous member service and loan processing activities as assigned.


Essential Functions:

  • Possess adequate product knowledge.
  • Consistently meet or exceed all service expectations.
  • Prepare and process loan and member service documents as requested for both in house and indirect products; post member information on auxiliary systems (data processing, plastic cards, IRA, etc.); and review all necessary documentation for closing of consumer loans in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Prepare new member packets for Indirect Loans; post loan-related transactions for account opening; fund loans; complete payment processing, etc.
  • Assist with completion of modification agreement and adjustments on consumer loans, and other transactions as directed.
  • Prepare and process assigned reports on a timely basis, such as paid loan report, title tracking, VINTek (list not inclusive).
  • Prepare and process vehicle titles to include filing of lien perfections, title tracking, and timely problem resolution; assume responsibility for follow-up of all pending lien perfections and maintain proper documentation of released titles.
  • Complete processing of Force Placed Insurance (CPI) on members as required, posting charges and issuing refunds. Complete all CPI Reports.
  • Complete processing of Gap and/or Warranty products issued on member accounts, post charges and issue refunds. Complete all Gap and Warranty Reports.
  • Maintains log of members requesting claims on credit life and/or credit disability; obtains required documentation from members regarding claims; works with insurance company to communicate with members; posts claim payments to loan.
  • Conducts general research regarding queries from employees and members; completes file maintenance and documents same as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Employee must be able to talk and hear and must be able to life up to 10 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED and 6 months of experience as Title Clerk or Loan Clerk in a financial institution.
  • Strong PC skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.
