Venatore, a distinguished provider of IT solutions for the Department of Defense, is seeking a Desktop PC Technician / Installer to support Army INSCOM at Fort Belvoir. The successful candidate will possess a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at the time of application and will be responsible for installing and configuring IT systems and electronic equipment. The candidate will also be the primary customer interface and lead for Venatore on-site personnel conducting a document scanning and digitization project. This role is essential for ensuring the effective deployment and operation of technology solutions critical to Army INSCOM’s mission success.


Key Responsibilities:

· Site Lead:

o Responsible for overall on-site management of work activities and personnel.

o Interacts regularly with Venatore corporate staff and on-site customers for reporting and guidance.

· Installation and Configuration:

o Install, configure, and test IT systems and electronic equipment according to specifications and requirements.

o Ensure proper integration of hardware and software components to support operational needs.

· Network Setup:

o Set up and configure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and access points.

o Establish network connections and troubleshoot connectivity issues as needed.

· Peripheral Integration:

o Install and integrate peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and audio-visual equipment.

o Ensure compatibility and functionality with existing systems.

· Cable Management:

o Perform cable management tasks, including routing, labeling, and securing cables to ensure a clean and organized installation.

o Adhere to industry standards and best practices for cable installation and management.

· Testing and Troubleshooting:

o Conduct system tests to verify functionality and performance.

o Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

· Security Clearance: Must possess a current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

· Experience: Proven experience in IT system installation and electronics installation.

· Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in installing and configuring IT systems, including hardware and software components.

o Knowledge of network setup and configuration, including routers, switches, and access points.

o Familiarity with peripheral devices and their integration with IT systems.

o Ability to perform cable management tasks according to industry standards.

· Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.

· Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accurate and precise installation and configuration.

· Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey technical information.

9. DoD Mandatory Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Training

10. Records Management
