Summary:

Pavilion Construction is seeking a Paralegal with 3+ years of construction law experience to support Pavilion's General Counsel on transactional and litigation matters. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter with a desire to work alongside construction professionals in a stimulating office environment.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work with and report to Pavilion's General Counsel. They will provide a full range of support, including but not limited to:

  • Draft, track, and assemble contracts.
  • Write letters and pleadings.
  • Work with construction professionals to gather and organize documentation and information to support claims.
  • Organize and track liens, bonds, notices, claims, suits, etc.
  • Manage and draft responses to discovery requests and document discovery.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of construction law experience on industrial, multi-family, commercial matters with exposure to transactional work and litigation.
  • Familiarity with AIA contract documents.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Understanding of construction accounting.
  • Strong proofreading skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and pride in your work.
  • Good judgment, responsiveness, and perseverance.
  • Intellectual curiosity.
  • Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments.
