Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Risk Manager, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the Risk Management Program.


Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.

Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.

Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.


Assist the Risk Manager in claims related to employee (Workers Compensation) and visitor (General Liability) incidents, ensuring prompt and accurate action to minimize exposure and liability.

Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.

Assist in the implementation of Golden Nugget's safety program. Knowledge of OSHA standards, Hotel, Security Laws, and Health Department Regulations.

Process accident and injury reports in a timely manner.

Review Risk Department activities and claims with the Risk Manager.

Follow up with patrons and employees with the objective of resolving claims and other potential users.


Assist in performing safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and to ensure safety regulation and compliance.


Stay abreast of current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports and employees as appropriate.

Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.

Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.

Safeguard the confidential information of all employee, department and company records.


Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.


Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Bachelor's Degree Preferred.

Paralegal experience preferred.


Minimum of four (2) years of Risk and Benefits experience in a high volume casino/hotel complex environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
