Job summary

The Christian School Math Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality and faith-integrated mathematics education to secondary-level students. This role involves designing and implementing a curriculum that aligns with state standards while infusing biblical principles into daily lessons. The Math Teacher creates a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering intellectual and spiritual growth in students. Assessment, feedback, and effective communication with parents are essential components, as well as ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends. The position requires a strong commitment to Christian values, excellent communication skills, and a passion for shaping the character and academic success of students. The Math Teacher will report to the middle/high school principal, providing regular updates on curriculum development, student progress, and departmental needs. He or she will engage in open communication with school administrators, seeking guidance and sharing insights to enhance the overall educational experience. As a member of the faculty, the Math Teacher is expected to contribute actively to chapel services and other spiritual development activities. All faculty members are expected to embrace opportunities to integrate Christian values and principles into all aspects of education, fostering a holistic approach to students' growth.

Required Professional Qualities

  • A minimum of an earned bachelor degree in math, math education, or teaching experience through an alternative certification program
  • Certified or able to receive teaching certification for math through ACSI

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
