Job Description

The Director will provide leadership and strategy to inspire and deliver an industry leading Corporate Reporting and Analytics practice. The position will work with our Corporate, Geography, Regional and District leaders and teams, to ensure unity across strategy and execution in support of company objectives. The role will facilitate and drive strategy around reporting and analytics security, engineering, architecture, teams, stewardship, quality, data management, statistical science, practices, and insights, data lifecycle management and creating differentiating insights and opportunities. The position will facilitate and oversee aspects of our reporting and analytics vision and strategy, planning, priorities, budgeting and execution of various program initiatives across the organization. The Director establishes measurable goals and tactics, mapping strategy to operations; responsible for people, ensuring their respective teams and domains are healthy and performing well. The position oversees the financials responsibilities of their domains and is accountable for ensuring investments are tied to results. The Director is actively engaged in the logistics, analytics, and technology community and speaks on behalf of the organization to stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as an enterprise leader for data insights that drive strategic and tactical business opportunity.
  • Enable company growth through execution of strategic initiatives, programs, and projects.
  • Lead and partner to establish vision, strategy and execution driving analytics as an enterprise asset.
  • Maintain the overall strategy and roadmap in collaboration and alignment with the organization.
  • Promote collaboration with Finance Reporting teams to facilitate a collective effort that further strengthens the solutions we provide to stakeholders.
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of enterprise specialists, support and mentor the global analytics teams.
  • Utilize visualization to ensure analysis and insights are consumable and convey insights to stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation and propel growth by searching for new ways to use data, reports, analytics and analysis.
  • Leverage and fully optimize existing systems and tools, advocate for new tools when needed.
  • Create a community that promotes the sharing of best practices and ideas.
  • Communicate and share progress updates, quality assessments, and support needs.
  • Ensure data is used correctly and safeguarded, always protected and quantify the ROI, usage, and impact of each effort.
  • Implement training and education to increase proficiency in the analytics capabilities of employees and customers.
  • Demonstrate tangible business value associated with programs and projects.
  • Collaborate and work effectively with the stakeholders.

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Personal and professional alignment with Expeditors culture and ten critical success factors.
  • Proven experience as a logistics and technology-oriented leader.
  • Strong leadership, management, financial, communication and execution capabilities.
  • Engaged and connected to IS, Product, Services, Geography, and Accounting.
  • Experienced global problem solver, strong collaborator; adept at providing clarity around complex topics.
  • Assertive personality, interpersonal, action and outcome driven leadership.
  • Ability to actively inspire, coach, mentor and motivate.
  • Promotes autonomy, mastery, and purpose, through empowerment and creating leaders.
  • Extensive knowledge of logistics, supply chain operations and excellence.
  • Proficiency in data sciences and analytics practices (with supporting technologies).

Additional Information

Expected base salary:  $85,000 to $99,000

Eligible for bonus
