Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with expertise in ServiceNow SAM Professional and a background in IT Asset Management (ITAM), coupled with Quality Assurance and Business Analysis experience. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire software asset management lifecycle, manage IT-related projects, and drive process improvement initiatives. The candidate will provide expert guidance in operationalizing SAM, leading projects, and supporting business analysis tasks as needed.

This position demands strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex technical projects while collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

· Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of ServiceNow SAM Pro projects, ensuring they meet timelines, scope, and budget.

· Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, and critical path analysis using Microsoft Project.

· Manage project phases from initiation through closure, including risk management, issue tracking, resource management, and performance monitoring.

· Use both Agile and traditional PMBOK methodologies to adapt project management approaches according to project needs.

Task Management & Process Improvement

· Manage tasks related to software asset management, such as operationalizing and documenting processes for ServiceNow SAM Pro.

· Lead efforts to enhance process efficiencies, recommending process improvements and developing test plans for recommended changes.

· Administer the project schedule, coordinating with project sponsors to ensure alignment with overall goals.

Team Leadership

· Lead cross-functional teams composed of various labor categories and skills, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

· Provide guidance and support to project teams, fostering accountability and productivity.

· Oversee the work of contractors and government staff, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.

Stakeholder Management

· Act as the primary liaison between the project team, stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure effective communication and reporting.

· Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project status updates, identifying risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.

· Facilitate project meetings, including kickoff meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospective sessions.

Project Documentation & Reporting

· Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, status reports, risk registers, and change management logs.

· Report on project progress to senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues, and providing recommendations for corrective actions.

· Ensure project documentation adheres to PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) standards.

Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

· PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or PRINCE2 certification is required.

· 7+ years of experience in Project Management, leading ServiceNow SAM Pro implementations.

· 8+ years of experience leading teams from various disciplines, ensuring cohesive project execution.

· 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Project to prepare work breakdown structures, project schedules, and determining the critical path.

· Proven ability to manage IT projects of similar size and scope as proposed for this contract, particularly in environments that involve multi-agency collaboration.

· Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

· Advanced degree or certifications related to Project Management or IT Management are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
