We are seeking a skilled and seasoned Project Control Specialist to play a pivotal role in overseeing the program's executive support division. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency and experience in navigating a Department of Defense (DoD) environment and effectively integrating with a multi-contractor government team.

The selected individual will operate as a Project Control Specialist during Eastern business hours (full-time). This role involves managing financial services for DISA projects, conducting project oversight and data management, performing audits, overseeing project financials, and acting as the intermediary between project management and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior professional capable of addressing the project accounting and cost reporting needs of several mid-sized projects, ensuring daily interaction with project management, clients, and contractor personnel.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the program's indirect budget tracking spreadsheet; analyze actuals against indirect cost forecasts and review findings monthly with the Program Manager.
  • Evaluate and present financial reports, revenue variances, unbilled analyses, and accruals to assess project progress.
  • Monitor project expenditures; evaluate performance against established baselines; generate purchase requisitions for subcontractor labor and other direct cost funding.
  • Prepare and submit monthly financial reports for government tracking purposes.
  • Oversee financial and contractual elements of DoD contracts.
  • Draft cost proposals and monthly financial reports, forecasting costs throughout the project duration, liaising with the contracting officer, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, managing subcontractors, and preparing invoices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Effectively engage with Project Managers regarding contract documentation, change orders, and other contract modifications and approvals.
  • Communicate proficiently with contracting officers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost proposals and monthly financial reports.
  • Compile final invoice packages, including draft and final invoices for all billable projects, along with necessary documentation for approval by the Accounting Supervisor.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance client billing; maintain communication with the Accounting Manager regarding observations and actions taken.
  • Investigate any unbilled matters to maximize billing potential for the reporting period.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Education and Certifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher is preferred.
