Intake Specialist Job Description
Job Duties:
• Reports to the Operations Director
• Know and adhere to PHOENIX’s policies and procedures.
• Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures for respective departments.
• Effectively utilize technological devices as designed.
• Assist with files and audits.
• Read and respond to email to ensure pertinent communications are kept.
• Relay pertinent information up and down chain of command.
• Assist with project meetings and coordination with vendors.
• Attend trainings to continue professional development.
• Ensure assigned staff maintain annual training requirements.
• Participate in human resource tasks required of employees under your supervision including but not limited to hiring, documenting,
evaluating, coaching, and terminating if necessary.
• Assist in other assignments, projects, or tasks that are assigned by management.
• Oversees the Intake list, Transportation calendar, administrative paperwork, and staff schedules.

• QA files and records.
• Follow PHOENIX guidelines when working with clients including security, behavioral management, and use of effective approval and
disapproval
• Complete POR’s for needed equipment and supplies.
• Assist with training new staff on searches, pat-downs, UA’s, and BAC.
• Oversee the Administration area cleanliness.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate transport requests.
• Oversee court transports, discharges, intakes, medical transports, etc.
• Conduct client transportation as needed.
• for overseeing urine collection, testing, and documenting of intakes.
• Assist with admission and discharge of clients.
• Oversee inventory and ordering of supplies for intakes and client use.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Background in law enforcement, staff training and addiction services preferred
• Formal training in investigations, security and field training a plus.
• Must show strong desire to earn a chemical dependency certification
• Valid drivers license
Education Requirements:
