We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Credit Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients, managing credit risk, and ensuring compliance with company credit policies.


Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to determine the creditworthiness of applicants
  • Conduct thorough credit analysis and prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations
  • Assess credit limits and terms based on analysis and company guidelines
  • Communicating with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans
  • Own the full cycle accounts receivable process, including vendor onboarding, invoice coding and approval, contract review and matching, and payment processing
  • Monitor and manage the credit exposure of the company’s client portfolio
  • Identify and mitigate potential credit risks
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize bad debt
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients while enforcing credit policies
  • Address client inquiries regarding credit terms and conditions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of credit evaluations and decisions
  • Prepare regular reports on credit performance and present findings to senior management
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to credit
  • Work closely with the sales, finance, and collections teams to support business objectives
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to improve credit processes and systems


Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in a high-volume environment for credit analysis or similar roles
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience
  • Experience with company credit risk modeling and analysis software is an asset
  • Proficiency in Quantum is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Ability to solve account receivable problems and errors
  • Illustrate the ability to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate Excel Skills (SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
