Job Description:

  • Analyze and maintain production schedules which includes, but is not limited to:
  • Ensuring new sales order ship dates and job delivery dates meet customer requirements.
  • Loading manufacturing jobs into production system.
  • Coordinating maintenance of existing sales order ship dates and job delivery dates.
  • Monitoring MRP to ensure component demands are valid.
  • Coordinating with Production Manager to maintain a production labor demand.
  • Providing support to Purchasing to incorporate supplier's delivery date changes into production schedule.
  • Attending daily production meetings.
  • Provide scenarios and production/delivery options to upper management to support cash flow optimization.
  • Provide Production manager with labor demand forecasts to support staffing decisions.
  • Analyze scheduling and related business processes and recommend improvements to processes and software.
  • Generate detailed build plans in MS Project for large jobs.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of macros, reports, spreadsheets, MS Project files, and MS Access databases to streamline and improve the efficiency and accuracy of the scheduling system.
  • Assist Planning in developing and generating run time estimates for manufacturing operations.
  • Assist Production and IT departments with general up keep of the Shop Floor Display System software and processes.
  • Generate and setup reports to be displayed on the Shop Floor Display System.
  • Produce various production reports and support to production supervisors.


Requirements:

Qualification

  • Ability to communicate effectively with other departments and groups.
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge within the MS Office suits and related scheduling applications.
  • Microsoft Access experience is desired as well as a general familiarity with relational database concepts.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues regarding material availability, labor demand, plant capacity, customer delivery and cash flow requirements in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Previous experience with production scheduling, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Understanding of andor ability to create VBA code/macros a plus.
