The purpose of the Support Operations Specialist is to deliver support services efficiently and economically to internal departments and members. The position is part of a team in the Member & Support Services Department that focuses on the following functions: Accounting, Payment Systems (Accounts Payable, ACH, Check Clearing, Wire Transfers, Debit and Credit Cards etc.), Auditing, Collections, IRA’s, Reporting and Record Retention, and Compliance. The incumbent will work very closely with management and other Credit Union service representatives to assure the meeting of member service expectations.

Requirements:

Primary Functions

  • Perform routine and operational payments, accounting and settlement systems with Federal Reserve System, Federal Home Loan Bank, members, vendors, etc.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of various Payment Systems (Accounts Payable, ACH, Wire Transfers, etc.).
  • Ensure compliant audit functions.
  • Assists the Lead Support Operations Specialist to efficiently process and file member titles for liens or UCC.
  • Review delinquent accounts, execute collection calls/correspondence and communicate and follow up effectively with management.
  • Accurately scan and index documents into internal record keeping system.
  • Research and respond to workflow, mail, phone, and email requests.

· Ensure documents are in compliance with all Federal and State laws, regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures.

  • Maintain effective communications within department and Credit Union.
  • Ensure high level of accuracy.
  • Present a professional image and provide high quality service in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner which exceeds expectations.

Basic Requirements

  • Two years of college level courses or previous work experience.
  • Previous experience in bank or credit union environment preferred.
  • Some previous collections knowledge and experience preferred.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgment.
  • Current knowledge of and proficient using a personal computer and Microsoft software.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to report to work regularly and on time.
  • Bondable and present a professional image.
