HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing Human Resource Generalist support to all company personnel. This includes administration of all human resources activities in compliance with company policy, standards of performance, and legal requirements. The Human Resources Generalist must lead by example, adhering to all policies and procedures contained in the manuals issued by VitalCore Health Strategies.
HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions
and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Processing of new hires/rehires in ADP system for all locations.
Answers Human Resources email inbox daily.
Processes employment verifications.
Assists with unemployment claims for all locations.
Supports internal/external recruitment efforts for the company.
Assists with required compliance reporting such as DOL and EEO.
Assists with payroll functions.
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Develops and oversees Employee Recognition Program and Anniversary Program.
- Assists benefit programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, 401-K plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the organization.
- Attends training and meetings as required.
- Ensures all processes, including forms and approvals are followed.
- Verifies employee personnel files to ensure federal and state compliance with all locations.
- Assists with all locations with regard to training.
- Assists with wage surveys.
- Other duties may be assigned
HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human resources, or other comparable degree and minimum 5 years of experience, required.
- PHR or SPHR certification desirable.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Outlook.
HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
