Inside Sales Manager

Job Summary

The primary function of the Inside Sales Manager is to increase sales efficiency by managing the Inside Sales Team across the LTG family of companies. The Inside Sales Manager will develop a strong team focused on account management, vendor relations, and internal processes. The Inside Sales Manager will also work with Sales Team leaders to develop, plan, and implement successful sales strategies.


Leading the Inside Sales Team
It is the responsibility of this role to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Inside Sales Team. This leader will help team members understand the LTG Mission and the importance of their role in the company’s success. Specifically, tasks include but are not limited to:

  1. Help the Sales Organization reach key sales targets be developing, nurturing, and upskilling a scalable inside sales function.
  2. Run weekly team meetings to review orders, tickets, problems, and process improvements and changes.
  3. Maintain and improve analytics related to team successes and failures and develop strategies to reward success and prevent recurring mistakes.
  4. Train and mentor new Insides Sales Representatives
  5. Provide guidance and clear instruction to the team on Opportunity management, vendor contacts, manufacturer resources.
  6. Maintain knowledge of key Sales Orders to Project Conversion and work closely with respective resources on timely execution.

Provide single-point of escalation for the team and work closely with Sales Leadership, Post-Sales, Operations, and Administration to resolve situations quickly and efficiently.


Account Management

At a high level, an Inside Sales Manager will understand and communicate to the team:

  1. State Procurement Policies
  2. Equipment State Contracts (Cisco, NetApp, HP, Tripplite, Palo Alto)
  3. Services
  4. State Contract Reporting requirements and how to record info in ConnectWise
  5. USAC Rules and Regulations
  6. Maintain current knowledge of USAC/ Erate/ Rural Health rules and regulation
  7. Respond Correctly to RFPs (470s) as requested by Account Manager
  8. Understand USAC Invoicing
  9. Execute certifications
  10. Maintain records as needed
  11. Business Goals and Account Lifecyle
  12. Key Individuals
  13. Top of Mind interests
  14. Important initiatives
  15. Fiscal cycles
  16. Internal Best Practices
  17. Placing Orders
  18. Converting opportunities
  19. Following up with clients

Vendor Relations

Manufacturing Programs, Promotion, and Incentives

Our key partners as they exist today are Cisco Systems, HPE, Extreme, Pure, Palo Alto, Microsoft and VMware. The Inside Sales Manager must have an understanding of how the partner relationship with each manufacturer is structured and the necessary components of each and communicate to the team. Specific tasks include:

  • Deal Registration (Cisco, NetApp, HPE and VMware, Storage Craft, VEEM, Trip lite)
  • Sales Education for product lines
  • K-12 Specific opportunities/ discounts

Distribution Procedures and Resources

This role should understand the procedures of specific distributors and communicate to the team. Our key distributors are Ingram Micro, TD Synnex, Pax8 and Arrow. The role should maintain good relations and contact with the sales teams at these distributors as well as understand other resources available and communicate to the team. Specific tasks include:

  • Receive and document accurate quoting
  • Utilize presales support if necessary
  • Use valid pricing information to provide quote to customer.

Internal Processes and Procedures

The Inside Sales Manager will be working with the entire sales team including Account Managers, Pre-Sales Architects and Sales Admin to support the Insides Sales Team and our customer base. They will follow documented internal procedures and help streamline and perfect procedures when applicable.

Requirements:

Need five years of ISR experience or direct management experience with ISR.
