Life as a Front Office Manager:

  • Defining and implementing front desk objectives and procedures.
  • Hiring and training staff and managing the shift schedules.
  • Supervising staff and all front desk activities including bookings, appointments, phone calls, and emails.
  • Generating reports and feedback for presentation to the general manager.
  • Performing administrative duties such as filing and updating records, among others, as needed.
  • Responding to and resolving guest service requests.
  • Provides courteous, personalized guest service by responding promptly and efficiently to requests and guest related inquiries.
  • Resolves difficult or unusual problems arising with guests, while maintaining good guest relationships and demonstrating outstanding hospitality through the corrective action taken.
  • Identifies ways of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the front office service to guests by actively participating in employee training and conducting daily team meetings.
  • Monitor room inventories to ensure adequate levels are maintained/balances the house.
  • Maintains close communication and interaction with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Sales, and Valet departments, taking ownership of guest related issues for resolution within prescribed timeframes.
  • Process daily cash, credit card, and financial reconciliation for Front Office, Food & Beverage, and Sales.
  • Supports the General Manager and Operations Manager with invoice payment processing.
  • Conducts public area walk-throughs (Upper Lobby, Restaurant, Lounge, Lower Lobby, Fitness Center, Meetings Salons) and ensures the maintenance and cleanliness are above the brands standards.
  • Schedules Front Office Staff based on the hotels 7/15/30 day forecasts.
  • Trains new front office team members and ensures successful retention for all team members through open communications and effective problem resolution skills.
  • Resolves, within 24 hours, all property management system (FOSSE) related guest billing and folio posting issues.
  • Ensures ancillary revenue is maintained through weekly inventory and strategic pricing of all gift shop items.
  • Assists in maintaining a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence, in service and cleanliness.

Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and anticipate and address guests' service needs. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous management experience in a hotel strongly preferred or a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Hospitality management
  • Minimum 1 years' experience in the guest services, front desk, or related professional area
  • Open availability is required
  • High School Diploma or GED / College Degree preferred.
  • Galaxy Lightspeed Property Management System preferred, but not required
  • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Skills: Leadership, oral & written communication, customer service, and computer skills
  • Must have the ability to lead, motivate and develop others.

First, you will become familiarized with the property and your associates Then, your leadership will shine as you begin assisting and leading the front desk team. From there, you will show the guests how our staff can provide the best guest service. As your work progresses, your role will be a key contributor to the overall guest experience
