PLUS Communications, a public affairs firm based in Arlington, Virginia, is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join its growing team. The IT Help Desk Assistant will be responsible for maintaining IT processes and procedures for the 150+-person company.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Microsoft 365 Admin Center Administration
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming IT requests and IT support issues related to computer systems, software, hardware and access to other corporate resources.
  • Maintain Help Desk Ticket Management System
  • Respond to support requests via:
    • Over-the-phone support
    • Screen sharing or remote control
    • Email support
    • Live chat support
  • Ability to walk end-users through problem-solving process
  • Write training standard operating procedures and conduct on demand end-user training
  • Oversee orders and maintain inventory of computers, hardware, software and related equipment and supplies
  • Manage onboarding & off boarding process for end-user assets, software, and hardware

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required
  • Experience in working with Office 365
  • Working knowledge of jamf administration
  • Ticket management
  • High level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable working and communicating with individuals at all levels and with various vendors and contacts outside of the firm
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
