Our client is the world's No.1 comprehensive motor manufacturer handling "everything that spins and moves," miniature to gigantic. They are a leading manufacturer of commercial motors, industrial motors, appliance motors, and controls. The product line features a full line of high efficiency motors for industrial applications in water treatment, mining, oil and gas, and power generation, and for commercial applications such as pool and spa, condensers, cooling towers and large refrigeration units.


We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Supervisor for their Southaven facility.


Job Summary:

The Inventory Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the inventory control operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory management, and leading a team of inventory staff. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Inventory Team: Lead, train, and manage inventory personnel, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to maintain high standards.
  • Inventory Control: Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stock Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Audits and Reporting: Conduct regular inventory audits and generate detailed reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and adjustments.
  • Coordination: Work closely with the procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve inventory issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Budget Management: Manage the inventory budget, ensuring cost-effective practices and minimizing waste.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.


Skills:

  • Computer literacy to include Warehouse Management Systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer)
  • Communication skills-ability to communicate with all levels within the organization to include customers, corporate office contacts, employees and managers.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Analytical and planning skills
  • Ability to develop working relationships as a team builder and motivator, providing effective leadership
  • Excellent problem-solving skills


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Training: Six Sigma, Lean, 6S, NAFTA, Trade Compliance, CTPAT
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management or a related role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

Physical Demands:
