Reporting directly to the Chief Information & Technology Officer, the Director of Infrastructure and Operations is tasked with leading the nimble’s Infra and Ops Team. This pivotal role oversees the 24/7 operations of customer applications hosted both on-prem and in Microsoft Azure, ensuring the utmost confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our customers’ data. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing global teams, focusing on on-premises and Azure IaaS, PaaS, Networking, Microsoft Entra, and VDI. Experience consolidating infrastructure from multiple clouds and RCM exposure is highly preferred.


On a typical day, here's what you'll be working on:


Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead a global team of infrastructure engineers and support personnel

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members

• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment


Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of on-premises and Azure-based infrastructure

• Manage and optimize VDI environments for global operations

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions


Cloud Strategy and Management:

• Develop cloud strategies and roadmaps, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness

• Consolidate and streamline infrastructure from multiple cloud providers

• Evaluate and select cloud services and providers to meet business needs


Security and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

• Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect data and infrastructure

• Collaborate with the security team to align on security initiatives and protocols


Operational Excellence:

• Design secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions

• Implement best practices for cloud security, performance, and reliability

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans


Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with other departments to align cloud initiatives with business goals

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on infrastructure projects and performance


Budget and Resource Management:

• Manage budgets and optimize resource utilization

• Ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining high performance and security standards


Innovation and Trends:

• Keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends

• Recommend and implement new tools and technologies to improve infrastructure operations

Requirements:


Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

• Extensive experience with on-premises and Azure IaaS, PaaS, Networking, Microsoft Entra, and VDI

• Proven experience consolidating infrastructure from multiple clouds

• RCM exposure is highly preferred
