Azimuth Corporation is seeking a talented Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to join our AAIM Lab team in Beavercreek, OH. The Autonomy, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning (AAIM) Lab accelerates problem-solving and undertakes development challenges for various customers and partners, employing existing and to-be-developed AI/ML tools. The ideal candidate will possess a strong development skillset to support customers across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Communities.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Design, validation, and deployment of AI Algorithms.
  • Supporting the optimization of code (parallelization / GPU optimization)
  • Collecting and analyzing large datasets covering multiple modalities
  • UI/UX Design
  • Designing efficient, portable databases (familiarity with data bricks, data lakes, data fabric, data mesh)
  • Train and finetune deep neural networks, SLMs, and LLMs.
  • Develop software documentation and draft monthly status reports.
  • Supporting proposal development team with technical input as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain security clearance, not required to start.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in AI, machine learning, and data science.
  • Experience with Python & C++
  • Experience with PyTorch, Tensorflow, and other AI frameworks.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer science/engineering or related field.
  • Experience training and finetuning SLMs and LLMs.
  • Cloud development experience.

Physical Requirements / Travel

  • Must be able to work in an office environment at a desk and computer.
  • May travel ~10% to conferences, program reviews, industry meetings, or other collaborative events. Most or all travel would be CONUS.
