Vice President of Clinical Services

Nashville, TN (Hybrid)



Role Summary:

The Vice President of Clinical Services is responsible for providing strategic leadership and managerial support to all clinical personnel. This role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive managerial support to all clinical personnel to ensure optimal performance and adherence to best practices.
  • Monitor statistics and performance metrics for each team to ensure targets are met and high-quality care is provided.
  • Manage approvals for direct reports in ADP and Concur systems, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Create and manage Compassion accounts for clinical staff, facilitating seamless access and use of the system.
  • Track and renew state licensure for Utilization Review, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the URAC accreditation process to maintain high standards of care and operational excellence.
  • Conduct interviews for open clinical positions, identifying and securing top talent to join the team.
  • Collaborate with clinical team managers to revise and update training materials, ensuring staff are well-prepared and knowledgeable.
  • Develop assessments within the Compassion system to evaluate clinical staff performance and areas for improvement.
  • Provide assistance to the Medical Director as required, contributing to overall clinical leadership.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new staff, particularly those with a Lucent/Narus background, to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Set performance goals for case management teams, driving accountability and excellence.
  • Create personal development plans for team members, fostering growth and career advancement.
  • Report on-call hours to the payroll department accurately and promptly.
  • Provide care for members when needed, demonstrating hands-on clinical expertise and support.

Job Requirements

    • MUST be active, unrestricted RN license with multi State license required
    • MUST have an advanced degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
    • Extensive experience in clinical management, including direct supervision of clinical staff.
    • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and accreditation processes (URAC).
    • Proficiency in ADP WorkforceNow and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and departments.
    • Proven track record in setting and achieving performance goals.
    • Commitment to providing high-quality care and improving clinical outcomes.
