Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our sales team. The Technical Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by providing technical expertise, demonstrations, and support to prospects and customers throughout the sales process.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and propose technical solutions that meet their needs.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proofs of concept (POCs) to showcase our products/services to prospective clients.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing product information, and resolving technical issues.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of sales proposals, quotations, and responses to RFPs/RFIs with a focus on technical accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to convey customer feedback and requirements for product enhancements and new features.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including technical decision-makers, engineers, and C-level executives.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to effectively position our solutions in the marketplace.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop technical content, case studies, and collateral that support sales initiatives and customer education.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to sales teams on technical aspects of products/services and competitive differentiation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience (X years) in a technical sales engineering role, preferably in [industry/sector] or with [specific technology].
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of [relevant technology/product], including hands-on experience with [specific tools/software].
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions that drive sales success.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering technical proposals, demonstrations, and sales presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve them.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and customer engagement.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
