What this Position Does:
The Intern Program Manager will oversee the onboarding and development of interns within American Communities. The Intern Manager will collaborate with various key stakeholders, learning & development, and human resources to establish a foundation for each intern, strategize the programs, and assist in the evaluation of each intern.
The Day-to-Day Responsibilities This Person will be Overseeing:
- Develops individualized development plans for interns, aligning with their goals and company objectives.
- Assigns mentors to interns and facilitates regular check-ins and feedback sessions.
- Organizes training sessions to enhance interns' skills and knowledge.
- Evaluates intern performance based on established criteria and provides constructive feedback.
- Assigns projects and tasks to interns, monitors progress, and ensures successful project completion.
- Fosters a supportive and inclusive environment for interns to connect with colleagues and build professional networks.
Qualifications Involved with the Position: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
What Education and/or Experience You Will Bring to the Table: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience); Previous internship management experience required; talent management or learning & development experience preferred.
Communication Skills Involved with the Position: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with various levels of the organization, from Intern-level to CEO.
Analytical Abilities this Person Will Bring to the Table: Ability to identify challenges or concerns faced by interns and address them effectively; capacity to develop creative solutions to improve the internship program and enhance interns' experience.
Physical Demands Required: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
