Your role as a Purchasing and Inventory Assistant

As the Purchasing Assistant at Palolo Chinese Home, you will have a wide range of responsibilities that contribute to the smooth operation of our organization. You will be responsible for the purchasing, ordering, and upkeep of inventories, as well as the storage and billing of supplies and equipment. Your main duties will include sourcing and purchasing supplies from approved vendors, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.

You will also be responsible for conducting regular inventory checks, performing equipment upkeep and maintenance, and distributing equipment to the appropriate individuals. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in generating resident billing summaries and reviewing billing statements for accuracy. Your attention to detail and ability to track usage of essential supplies will be essential in ensuring the availability of necessary items at all times.

Proficiency in using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and databases is essential for carrying out your job duties effectively. Furthermore, physical stamina is required, as you will be expected to stand and walk for extended periods of time, lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for interacting with vendors and other team members.

Strong organizational skills are crucial for managing inventories and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Lastly, the ability to perform simple mathematical calculations is a must.
