Your Role:
As a Prenatal Medical Assistant at Goodwin Community Health in Somersworth, NH, you'll be part of a dynamic team working to ensure that every expectant mother in our community has access to comprehensive prenatal care. Your responsibilities will focus on supporting pregnant women through all stages of their prenatal journey.
Your daily duties will include:
- Providing patient services such as chaperoning, collecting specimens, and taking vital signs.
- Assisting with prenatal assessments and ensuring that expectant mothers receive timely and compassionate care.
- Preparing exam rooms for prenatal visits.
- Maintaining supplies and equipment for prenatal services.
- Supporting patients in improving access to health resources and social services.
- Coordinating medical refills and lab orders under the Provider and/or Clinical Lead's direction.
- Collaborating with all care team members to coordinate and manage prenatal patient care.
- Performing limited health screening procedures under direction.
- Participating in preparing patient charts.
- Assisting with intake and discharge procedures as directed.
- Maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.
What You Need:
- Education:
- Graduate of MA course or
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Preferred
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Preferred
- Experience: Two years’ experience in an ambulatory or prenatal care setting preferred.
- Other: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Work Details:
- Location: Goodwin Community Health, Somersworth, NH
- Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Benefits:
Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical and dental insurance with an agency subsidy. One of the GSCH health insurance plans has a no-premium option for employee-only coverage. GSCH offers a 401(k) plan with an employer match, employer-paid group term life insurance, and short-term disability coverage. Voluntary benefits include vision, long-term disability coverage, a Flexible Spending Account, and access to local discounts. GSCH offers earned time accrual (15 days in your first year [pro-rated by FTE]), plus seven (7) paid holidays. Eligibility starts at 24 hours/week, with full benefits offered at 32 hours/week and above.
