Position Overview

Role Summary: We are in search of a passionate and skilled Nutritionist to enhance our WIC program.

As a Nutritionist, your primary focus will be on improving the health and nutrition of pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants, and children through personalized education and support.

This position is essential in guiding our clients towards informed dietary choices that promote healthier lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nutrition Education: Provide comprehensive nutrition education to WIC participants, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and resources to make healthy decisions for themselves and their families.
  • Collaboration: Partner with primary care teams to offer consultation and support, ensuring cohesive care plans that meet the nutritional needs of our clients.
  • Resource Development: Create and evaluate engaging nutrition education materials that are accessible and effective for a diverse clientele.
  • Team Participation: Engage actively in staff meetings and continuous professional development to remain informed about the latest nutrition guidelines and best practices.
  • Client Support: Assist with administrative tasks and the distribution of food vouchers, ensuring a supportive experience for our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or eligibility for Registered Dietitian (RD) status is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in community nutrition or related health services, particularly with women and children, is highly regarded.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a healthcare team, showcasing strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Professionalism: A commitment to upholding our core values of integrity, service, and excellence in all aspects of your work.

Work Environment: This role requires travel throughout designated counties, with a home office base.

Hours: Full-time position, Monday through Friday.

Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience.
