The Café Jr. Sous Chef serves as "third command" of the kitchen; assists the Café Chef in supervising food production for all HL Fresh Café foods and other functions of the department as necessary. They supervise food production personnel, assist with food production tasks as needed, and assure that quality and cost standards are consistently obtained.

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Stay calm under pressure, remain positive, and ensure that staff is happy and productive
• Be a great multi-tasker, delegator, and communicator, ensuring that the Café Chef and Sous Chef are always well-informed of all staffing and operations issues
• Ensure that food is prepared and abundantly displayed according to café standards
• Be a role model of hospitality
• Have a culinary degree or extensive cooking and production experience
• Have at least 1 year supervisory and leadership experience and at least 3 years professional kitchen experience

Hours: Full Time

Location: 129 Market Street, Williston VT

Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.63 per hour

For full-time staff - 401(k): 100% vested from day one Employer match: 100% match of the first 3% of the staff member’s contribution. 50% match on the staff member’s contribution above 3% and up to 5%.
