Our Information Technology (IT) - Operations Manager is responsible for the deployment of IT solutions with a focus on seamless day-to-day operations and exceptional user experience. This position oversees three functional areas: Service Desk, Systems, and Networks.
Additionally, this position is responsible for analyzing and improving organizational processes, quality, productivity, and efficiency. A critical goal of this position and their team is to deliver exceptional customer service along with maintaining strong working relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Must be a hands-on leader of a team of IT professionals that oversee and manage all aspects of our IT infrastructure to include security, hardware, servers, networking, database, telecom, storage, backup, and support services.
- Partner with and support our internal development team.
- Coordinate and manage the change control process, and deployments of the company’s critical applications.
- Identify technical requirements and recommend solutions to optimize our technology stack.
- Facilitate seamless communication and implementation of company-wide technology updates.
- Proactively manage system performance, identifying constraints, and implementing optimizations for enhanced efficiency and user experience.
- Ensure the scalability, availability, and security of systems, adhering to industry best practices.
Security and Compliance:
- Evaluate and ensure adherence to federal technology requirements for security.
- Stay abreast of the latest security standards and best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate potential risks.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to maintain smooth operation of outsourced IT services, such as cloud hosting and software licensing.
- Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and cultivate strong relationships to maximize value and minimize risks.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective IT solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or 10 years of equivalent working experience in IT.
- Certifications include CCSP, CISSP Security +, Network +, MS900, and AZ801.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a minimum of 4 years effectively managing IT operations.
- Strong knowledge in both Windows and Linux system administration, VMWare and SQL Server.
- Experience in manufacturing a plus.
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and adeptness at troubleshooting computer technical issues.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Must be able to work on-site.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with security compliance requirements and project management methodologies including CMMC, DFARS, ISO, ITAR, NIST, PII and PHI.
