Job Description: The U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Development Specialist to manage and market the New Products and Idea (NPI) website. This role involves coordinating a diverse cadre of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in science and technology and promoting business development opportunities at the USAMRDC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and market the NPI website, ensuring it serves as an effective platform for innovation and collaboration.
- Collaborate with NPI SMEs to close out overdue submissions, improving average response time and enhancing user satisfaction.
- Track and analyze NPI performance metrics to provide comprehensive reports and recommendations to stakeholders, driving continuous improvement.
- Provide expert advice to small businesses regarding the USAMRDC acquisition process and how to successfully engage in business with the Army.
- Assist with National Interagency Confederation for Biological Research (NICBR) meetings, facilitating the development of detailed meeting minutes and ensuring effective communication among participants.
- Create long-form LinkedIn posts to effectively convey ongoing projects and initiatives at USAMRDC to stakeholders, enhancing visibility and engagement.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, preferably within a government or military context.
- Experience managing websites and tracking performance metrics is highly desirable.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with a diverse group of SMEs.
- Proficiency in using LinkedIn and other social media platforms for professional communication.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to produce accurate and thorough meeting minutes.
