CORA is currently seeking an English Language Learner (ELL) (formerly ESL- English as a Second Language) Teacher to work in non-public schools throughout the city of Philadelphia.
The zip code of coverage is 19132.
Starting Salary: BA level--$46,757 MA level--$49,679
Salary increases based on additional credentials and experience.
Working as an English Language Learner Teacher with CORA, you will:
- Provide remedial, diagnostic, or consultative services to students, parents, and school personnel.
- Instruct pupils in small groups for the purposes of academic support, to assist them in achieving grade level classroom performance especially in the areas of reading and math
- Adhere to agency guidelines and requirements concerning caseload management and accountability.
- Participate in all necessary inter-disciplinary functions, including regular meetings and consultation with other members of the CORA school services team.
- Establish appropriate groups and schedule instructional time efficiently.
- Monitor educational growth with established objectives as identified on student’s Learning Plan.
- Complete all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Make appropriate referrals for children needing additional services.
- Generate written progress reports as required.
Qualified Candidates Should Possess:
- Bachelor’s degree from a certifiable teaching program
- English Language Learner certification
- PA teachers certificate reflecting Secondary education or middle school certification in English
- Solid working knowledge of the field
