Senior Seasonal Bakery Lead

Our Senior Seasonal Bakery Lead would work daily to prepare pastry and fruit for production. You must have the ability to work with team members and coordinate bakery processes each day.
Due to the operating hours of our business, we are looking for an individual that commit to a seasonal schedule. Our seasonal work months are August - November. During this time we would ensure that you receive one day off a week, as you would need to operate the bakery for a minimum of 60 hours per week, including weekends
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage and assist with bakery production, including made from -scratch pies.
- Will manage and assist with high donut production.
- Peel, cut, and prepare fruit for fillings. Properly package, wrap products for retail as to maintain freshness and their retail appeal.
- Keep records to track what is produced weekly.
- Keep coolers and freezers clean and well stocked.
- Follow and comply with established health code procedures, including health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.
- Operate and sanitize all bakery equipment in a safe and proper manner according to procedures required by the local health department.
- Work with our Country Store to provide bakery products as needed for daily sales.
- Manage the workflow of the bakery team and bakery operation.
- Assist with open and closing procedures.
- Always maintain a clean work area
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- You are a good fit for our team if you are versatile and adaptable.
- You are willing to learn, can stay focused on a task, and can take verbal and written instructions.
- You are good at counting, mental calculations, and record-keeping, can follow written and verbal instructions, and can speak up when you notice something doesn’t seem right.
- You are consistently attentive to cleanliness and food safety and can focus on the task at hand.
- Some kitchen experience is a plus, but none is required.
- You are respectful, and a joy to be around, but are also content to work alone.
- You are organized, can manage your time, and take pride in a clean workspace and a job well done.
- You are punctual, dependable, and able to meet deadlines. You must be able to stay at work for your whole shift.
- The work is very physical, and you must be able to stand all day and safely lift fifty pounds, reach, squat, and learn new physical skills.
- You must be available to work weekdays and weekends.
