About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned nursing professional with a strong background in perioperative and intensive care to oversee the 33 bay Center for Perioperative Care Unit (CPC), 92 bay Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACUs), and the 10 bay White 13 Post-procedure Observation Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement nursing practice, quality measurement, and improvement initiatives
  • Lead the development, refinement, and communication of the MGH Department of Nursing (DON) vision
  • Provide leadership to nursing and clinical leadership staff in the selection, evaluation, promotion, and termination of employees
  • Develop, implement, and monitor performance standards and management systems to assure continuous improvement on the quality of service and care
  • Participate in crafting systems to improve the patient care environment, knowledgeable about and mindful of relevant regulatory compliance
Requirements:
  • Current registration in nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • MSN, DNP, PhD, or a BSN with a master's degree in a related field, required
  • Minimum 3 years nursing leadership experience required
  • Experience in an academic medical center perioperative and/or intensive care preferred
