Digital Asset Manager
Job Overview: Reporting to the Senior Producer, the Content Manager works cross-departmentally with
producers, editors, and others involved in content creation to manage efforts to preserve, describe and
make accessible digitized and born-digital archival materials.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage preservation ingests and monitor file-based workflows for proxy creation; identify
  • preservation issues and report problems to IT
  • Work with Senior Producer to manage the selection, description, preservation, and archiving of
    digital asset
  • Participate in interdepartmental working groups to define data governance and workflows.
  • Assist Information Technology staff with data migration, quality control and testing of systems
  • In-depth understanding of digital formats and concepts related to digital use, migration and
    reformatting with particular emphasis on media formats for audio and moving image file formats
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workflows for audiovisual production, digital restoration of film,
    video and audio
  • Responsible for making sure that raw footage from the cameras are transferred/ingested
    without any data loss or corruption. As footage is passed from shoot to post, the Content
    Manager keeps a log of who has received what and tracks all copies of the footage.
  • Supervise and work managing vantage system

Professional Qualifications
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must have digital asset management skills.
  • Proficient in data & digital asset organization.
  • Experience in video post-production work flows preferred.
  • Knowledge in premiere pro, tele stream, vantage, edit share, quantum preferred.

Education and/or Experience Requirements
Associate's Degree (2 Year Degree); or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
