As the Sales Support Assistant at Innovative, you will be at the heart of our sales operations, playing a crucial role in our success. Your detail-oriented nature will be instrumental as you create and process quotes with precision, ensuring accuracy in all documentation and communications for Innovative's Existing Business and Business Development teams. Your technical knowledge will be highly advantageous in this role, helping you understand and explain complex products and services. Additionally, your technical mindset will foster problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, allowing you to anticipate potential challenges and offer proactive solutions.  

 

You will assist the Sales Support Manager with day-to-day needs, making you an integral part of our team. This may include working on various sales-related projects, sending out account satisfaction surveys, sales forecasting, and preparing for other company-related tasks. You are also responsible for ensuring Innovative's CRM is up-to-date and maintaining internal sales support resources, such as quote templates, training resources, and documentation. Your role will involve regularly reporting on key performance indicators and providing additional sales and administrative support. 

 

This role will be based out of Innovative's HQ office in Hagerstown, MD. Depending on the needs of the sales team, occasional attendance at Innovative's DC location may be required. This is a hybrid role. Meetings and collaboration must be in person, but work-from-home flexibility is available as your workload and schedule allow. There may be additional opportunities to attend networking events, conferences, or other community-related activities to stay up to date in this role. 

 

Accountabilities: 

As the Sales Support Assistant, you'll be accountable for the following: 

  • Create and process quotes for the Existing Business and Business Development teams at Innovative. 
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. 
  • Maintain internal sales support resources, such as templates, training, sales guides/information, contracts, and other internal documentation. 
  • Ensuring the Existing Business CRM is maintained and updated. 
  • Work with other departments at Innovative as necessary to support the sales team. 
  • Additional sales and administrative support to the Existing Business and Business Development teams as needed, i.e., quoting feedback, sales guidance, misc. projects, etc. 
  • Assist the Sales Support Manager with day-to-day needs as they arise. 

 

Must-haves: 

  • Embodiment of Innovative's core values. 
  • 2-3 Years of Rockstar Administration or Assistant experience (Executive Assistant experience is a plus). 
  • Excellent communication and writing skills. 
  • Ability to learn and understand technical concepts and effectively apply them to the role. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365. 
  • Understanding of CRM tools. 
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic. 
  • Ability to multitask and juggle multiple priorities at once. 

 

Nice-to-haves: 

  • Experience building technical quotes. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 
  • Understanding of AutoTask PSA. 
  • Sales or Sales Support experience. 
  • Experience using QuoteWerks and/or QuoteValet. 
  • Technology experience (academically or professionally). 
  • Familiarity with the managed service provider (MSP) model or previous MSP experience. 

  

What does success look like? 

  • Success in this role includes the following: 
  • Quotes are generated efficiently and within their deadlines. 
  • 95% Resolution Met Average SLA on completed quoting tickets.  
  • Accurate CRM and sales resources, including up-to-date templates and sales documentation. 
  • An average of 10-15 quotes are completed weekly. 
  • Additional sales support projects and assistance are completed regularly and effectively.
