Role and Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's long-term growth and profitability objectives. Collaborate with the executive team to align financial planning with business goals and strategic initiatives. Provide financial leadership in mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic projects.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market conditions. Oversee the development and maintenance of financial models to support forecasting and scenario analysis. Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and corrective action recommendations.

Financial Analysis and Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial reports and analysis to senior management and the board of directors. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. Support the Accounting team in the monthly, quarterly and annual close process.

Team Leadership and Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development for team members. Automate and build out the existing processes and workflows.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between finance and other departments, ensuring effective communication and alignment on financial matters. Work with external stakeholders, including investors, analysts, and auditors, to provide relevant financial information and address inquiries.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required
  • MBA or professional designation (CPA, etc.) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles.
  • In dept understanding of the insurance industries regulatory requirements and environment in the United States.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing financial strategies that drive business performance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior executives and other stakeholders.
