Position Summary:

As a Help Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving and resolving service desk calls and issues, collaborating with second-level support for escalated matters, and assisting in the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive knowledge base. You will build and deploy PCs, printers, and peripheral equipment, ensuring proper hardware setup and updating all related inventory tracking documentation.

What will you do:

Accountabilities

Onsite Support

  • Provides answers to users by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding users through corrective steps.
  • Provides technical support to users by researching and answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining workstation and LAN performance.
  • Respond to customer issues via phone, email, and computer chat in an appropriate manner.

End User Support and Asset Management

  • Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Log and maintain computer hardware assets in asset management system.
  • Maintain documentation of hardware and system issues.

Ticket Management, Analysis and Dashboards

  • Manage help desk tickets in a timely manner.
  • Accomplishes IT and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Escalate issues and tickets to appropriate next tier level as needed.

Qualifications

Secondary education in Computer Science or related field preferred. Two years of relevant work experience or a combination of education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet accountabilities and required competencies of the position.
