Job Summary
i.g. Burton is seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will address common maintenance issues across multiple properties, performing repairs and installations as well as recommending and explaining to subcontractor’s serious infrastructural projects. You must be able to address a host of common property issues, such as electrical, plumbing, and heating. Our ideal candidate has several years of professional experience in property management and maintenance and a flexible schedule to respond to emergencies as they arise.
Duties
- Performs a variety of maintenance for facilities, including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, roofing, and electrical trades work. Ensures that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
- Assembles, repairs, maintains, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures.
- Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replaces filters.
- Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to supervisor.
- Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment.
- Performs custodial tasks and assists with pest control measures.
- Proficiency with online ticketing system for assigned maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 years facility maintenance experience
- Familiarity with online ticketing systems
- Valid state Driver’s License with clean driving record
- The ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Must have own tools.
