Facilities Maintenance Technician - Northern Management Services, Inc.
Northern Management Services, Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician for a long-term opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess over three years of recent experience in the maintenance of commercial or industrial facilities. This role involves a variety of responsibilities related to the upkeep and repair of equipment and structures, requiring practical skills and knowledge in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, refrigeration, and electrical work.
The successful applicant must demonstrate strong communication skills, be self-driven, reliable, diligent, and honest, with the ability to work independently. A willingness to undergo a Federal Security background check is essential. This is a full-time permanent position that offers benefits including vacation, holidays, insurance, and a 401K plan. Additional details will be provided during the interview process. Please note that this position is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement and requires union membership.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Replacing light fixture tubes
• Changing filters
• Cleaning mechanical areas
• Repairing electrical outlets, switches, fixtures, and motors
• Fixing walls, doors, windows, and ceilings
• Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, toilets, and faucets
• Touch-up painting on equipment and structures
• Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles
• Repairing or replacing doors, hardware, and locks
• Repairing or replacing concrete and masonry
• Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery
• Engaging in other maintenance activities as required.
Employees are responsible for their own transportation.
