Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and collaborates with the Resort Manager, Lead Maintenance Attendant, and Assistant General Manager as necessary. This role is essential in ensuring the operational efficiency of the Maintenance Department, contributing to the upkeep of resort facilities and enhancing the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, addressing service requests and performing preventative maintenance tasks.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of both interior and exterior building conditions, identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Act promptly in emergency situations, adhering to established emergency protocols.
- Provide maintenance support to guests and other departments, ensuring all service logs and reports are accurately maintained.
- Oversee the inventory and safe handling of maintenance supplies and tools, reporting any incidents to management as required.
- Share information about local attractions and events with guests, while also gathering feedback to improve service quality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in general repairs and maintenance, with proficiency in using basic hand tools.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
- Capability to address and resolve common issues faced by guests in a professional manner.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain a pool certification.
