Job Description:
- Supports and assists the Outreach and Special Projects Coordinator and Nutrition Unit to improve quality of statewide communication, and collaboration.
- Participates as a team member to develop and implement systems that assess, and identify trends program planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities. Assists in review of local WIC agencies and their sponsor's ongoing practice to meet grant expectations to effectively inform the public of program opportunities, through a variety of strategies which may include social media.
Skills required:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and organizations in both WIC funded local agencies and partner organizations.
- Ability to compose correspondence in the course of official duties.
- Excellent command of English language that is expressed in written and oral form.
- Knowledge of the WIC program.
- Organized, ability to manage multiple assignments and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including forms, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio and Excel.
- Ability to use social media i.e. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Education required:
- BS in Nutrition, Maternal and Child health nutrition practices, or related field.
- Master's in nutrition or related field, such as: Health Education, Public Health Nutrition or Community Nutrition preferred
Work hours:
- 9-5
- Lunch period: 12-1 (Unpaid)
