SUMMARY:

The primary function of the New Truck Sales Coordinator is to facilitate the requirements of customers and sales representatives before, during and after the sales process. Training will include working in various roles throughout the dealership.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • College degree preferred. One year of related experience required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurability standards.
  • Commercial Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards or must obtain within 6 months of hire
  • PA Sales License required

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Order trucks for inventory
  • Make fact based recommendations to sales manager about inventory levels and quantities, based on current stock truck turns, lead times, pricing considerations, and other outside factors
  • Enter new and used inventory into the Hunter Truck Inventory System, maintain inventory status and location
  • Maintain deal folders for inventory and ordered units
  • Print or email daily OEM reports (to include truck invoices and final builds) and distribute as needed
  • Conduct monthly floor plan audit(s) with financial institutions
  • Create purchase orders for trucks, bodies, extended warranties, etc.
  • Solicit quotes, negotiate, and coordinate work ready units with body companies
  • Create, Order, and organize brochures for Sales Department
  • Assist Sales Department with information to complete deals
  • Manages the assignment of backlog slots, splits, changes to dealer codes, swaps, and otherwise maintains a healthy working relationship with Hunter Corporate and OEM counterparts who make those things happen
  • Learn the truck deals system, basic finance functions, and have an understanding of PA title work
  • Be an authorized notary and complete Penn Dot vehicle class
  • Fill in, as needed, for title clerk
  • Update online and print advertisements on a daily/weekly basis. Monitor resulting phone calls and results
  • Report results to sales manager(s). Use that data to make recommendations regarding advertising effectiveness, stock truck demand, and our team’s effectiveness in following through with a deal
  • Coordinate truck transportation to body companies, customers, and other Hunter locations
  • Assist in coordinating the PDI and detail of sold units
  • Drive a truck as needed, wash a truck as needed
  • Arrange new and used truck lots as needed
  • Be knowledgeable about the company’s products, market situation, and demand for products
  • Become knowledgeable of and faithfully adhere to the Hunter Sales Policies and Procedures Manual
  • Attend meetings and trainings
  • Assist in marketing strategies for sales enhancement
  • Administers and monitors OEM and Hunter sales programs
  • Maintain professional personal appearance and workspace at all times
  • Undertake key role(s) with dealership major accounts. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing quotes, creating purchase orders for 3rd party equipment, supporting customer’s diagnostic software, and being a point of contact for new truck parts warranty claims.
  • Be a point of contact for rentals as applicable. Complete rental paperwork and support the rental to the end user(s)
  • Checks in new trucks from delivery company as needed and handle the application and reimbursement.
  • Become expert at all OEM and Hunter sales programs.
  • Review new medium & heavy duty truck schedules for both Peterbilt and International.
  • Prepare window stickers and key tags.
  • Monitor trucks on order and factory invoices to insure specifications and pricing are correct.
  • Input invoice and spec to Arcadium when factory invoice received.
  • Take pictures of all stock trucks and post to Arcadium and Advertisers.
  • Assist sales staff in spec’ing trucks, processing change-orders, submitting SPA‘s and CARS.
  • Place trucks on hold or sold at managers direction.
  • Perform monthly physical truck inventory inspection to ensure all new truck inventory is accounted for. This includes trucks at body companies.
  • Generate and approve truck transfers between branches.
