Employment Status: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary: Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Construction Quality Assurance to support the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) in Virginia Beach, VA. The ideal candidate will already align with our core values of SOAR (Strong Integrity and Ethics, Outstanding Teamwork, Accountability-Driven and Relentless Pursuit of Quality).
This position is contingent upon contract award.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Providing professional advice and/or technical representation to the construction contract’s Contracting Officer
- Ensuring comprehensive project controls are integrated into the process to help manage time, cost, scope, quality, and safety issues
- Participating in construction quality, safety, performance, or other related meetings to address ongoing and upcoming work
- Participating in discussions and reviews of requests for proposals (RFPs), designs, or other related product prior to the commencement of construction to ensure alignment with best practices and applicable codes and/or unified facilities criteria (UFCs)
- Providing on-site inspection and monitoring of construction contractor performance, ensuring execution in the field adheres to project parameters and approved plans/specifications
- Advising NEXCOM of any deviations/changes for approval or construction contract modification
- Performing technical quality assurance checks of construction work
- Reviewing contractor invoices for accuracy and recommending approval/rejection to NEXCOM project manager and/or contracting officer
- Supporting development of technical write-ups and costs for construction efforts, including but not limited to construction project modifications or separate stand-alone projects
- Utilizing NEXCOM’s electronic project management system to develop, route, and document files, reports, and other project related documentation
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:Security Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain Common Access Card (CAC) clearance.
This position requires passing an extensive background check.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Seven (7) years of experience performing construction performance inspections/monitoring of both renovation and new construction projects. Projects commensurate with oversight for this PVS include ground up construction and multi-trade renovations of single and multi-story facility in the commercial and/or government sectors of industry.
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
- Excellent and accurate written communication
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
- Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
- Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
- Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality
