Primary Objective:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the development and monitoring of purchasing and contract activities related to the Spectrio products and mission while focused on growing business relationships with our current vendor base.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform negotiations with suppliers and vendors as necessary for advantageous terms and pricing.
- Coordinate with internal departments to obtain pricing, availability, and terms on requested products and services.
- Drive an effective procurement process to achieve maximum efficiency and savings.
- Assist in product data coordination within internal teams.
- Assist in supplier and vendor scorecard management.
- Perform Purchase Order review and obtaining propr approvals.
- Perform quarterly pricing audits on purchased product and research current market on available suppliers and distributors. Work with third party consultants.
- Reviews proposal terms and conditions to identify areas of organizational risk (e.g., financial, legal, and security), while identifying options to mitigate those risks.
- Stay updated on industry trends and global supply chain issues.
- Create or prepare reports.
- Back-up Procurement Contract Manager when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Business, Accounting, or closely related field with four (4) years of related work experience;
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Experience in cradle to grave procurement and contracting methodologies;
- Solid analytical skills, attention to detail and computer skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to collaborate with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds; and,
- Proficiency with NetSuite and Google products preferred.
* This role offers remote flexibility and invites external candidates located in the Southeastern United States, encompassing Florida, North Carolina, and Texas to apply.
