Contract Specialist - Procurement

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking a skilled Contract Specialist to join our team. As a Contract Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and managing service contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage service contracts, including NDA's, technology, engineering, construction, and consulting contracts.
  • Conduct pre-procurement planning to identify the best method for contracting required to satisfy business objectives.
  • Assist project teams in developing contract requirements, technical specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Ensure proper setup and maintenance of contract files and supplier data in procurement applications.
  • Prepare contract pro-forma, including general terms and conditions and commercial terms, for bid solicitation and evaluation.
  • Negotiate Agreements and associated contractual documents with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Manage contract changes, facilitate purchase order creation, and advise on claims and change management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, legal, or related field.
  • Minimum of four years' work experience in contract management, business management, engineering, construction, project management, or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contract formation, administration, and management, as well as contract claims and dispute resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
