The Regional Facilitator and Product Trainer is responsible for in-center training related to product information, specifications, differentiations, and functionalities across the entire Polestar product line and new product launches. This role is responsible for a group of dealers located within specific market areas throughout the United States. In addition to training retailer and external facing staff, the facilitator is relied upon as subject matter expert and is expected to participate in training research and the curriculum design to further advance the Polestar training experience.
This role further serves to enhance retailer soft skill abilities, including customer consultation, sales delivery, test drive, and various sales and aftersales process trainings. Under the direction of the Commercial Training Manager, the Regional Facilitator and Product Trainer will support Polestar North America’s and regional business objectives providing in-center training solutions that are aligned with the overall Sales and Product Training Strategy. You will also be integrated in National and Regional event coordination, including but not limited to live vehicle demonstrations and content development.
This role will require frequent overnight travel throughout the North American region.
What you’ll do
- Develop and deliver trainings to Polestar Spaces with support from our local and global training teams.
- Be the “go-to” subject matter expert (SME) for all commercial focused training and product knowledge
- Innovate and support the development and review of new curriculum content, seeking ways to continue to elevate the training experience
- Maintain a training and travel schedule that supports our network expansion, as well as the growth within our retailer locations
- Monitor and report on high levels of training completion and compliance in collaboration with our regional operations teams
- Support events and experiential activities as a subject matter expert on all things Polestar
- Support the Customer Experience team with insights and trends driving customer feedback
- Act as a true brand ambassador, encouraging all Polestar retail staff and corporate employees to join and participate in brand trainings and education sessions
- Co-develop and facilitate topical webinars throughout the year to address market trends and retailer needs while promoting the growth of Polestar’s sales channels
- Assist in the production of creative and engaging training videos and eLearning’s that inspire our retail teams across all learning types
- Support Polestar North America’s and regional business objectives providing in-center training solutions that aligned with the overall Sales and Product training strategy
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a focus on consumer facing training
- Previous experience working in automotive for a premium OEM highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple demands of competing priority from a variety of interested parties (dealers, field staff, corporate staff.)
- Proven experience successfully formulating and delivering training programs and individual coaching sessions
- You understand the needs of a premium customer within a retail environment, acquired through experience with a premium OEM or retailer for a premium brand
- A natural at building and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
- You are an imaginative self-starter and strive for ways to enable change
- Firm understanding of the key customer satisfaction and sales drivers in a premium retail industry
- Ability to think strategically and work tactically, with strong project skills
- Ability to work with and present to dealer principals
- Drive and determination to work in an evolving, ever-changing environment
- Experience with video production and virtual facilitation methods
- Familiarity with the electric vehicle marketplace a plus
